Relics of ancient civilizations, include jewelry, religious artifacts, and food vessels formed from the durable, malleable metal. Today, silver is sought as a valuable practical industrial commodity, and as an appealing investment. There are two contract denominations available for trade:
- SI trades in units of 5,000 troy ounces.
The minimum price fluctuation is $0.005 (0.5¢) per troy ounce ($25.00 per contract).
- QI (mini silver) trades in units of 2,500 troy ounces.
The minimum price fluctuation is $0.0125 per troy ounce ($31.25 per contract).
Maximum Daily Price Fluctuation is $0.25 per ounce.

Both Silver futures contracts available for trading on the CME Globex trading platform, and the Chicago Board of Trade. Open outcry is conducted from 5:20AM PT until 10:00AM PT.
